Au Pair Visa

Au Pairs cannot work in Australia on a Visitor Visa. You must have a Student Visa or a Working Holiday Visa.

Please let us know if you a male Au-Pair who is waiting for a family placement and would like to study until we find a suitable family. We will be able to direct you to Australian Immigration to arrange a student visa.
If you come to Australia on a Student Visa you are covered by medical insurance, because you are required to pay the Health Cover (ca.$270-300 per year).

If you come out on a Working Holiday Visa you must arrange adequate insurance yourself.

Working holiday visa is for people aged 18 to 30 years age, who are interested in a working holiday of up to 12 month in Australia.

Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Republic of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, HKSAR, Ireland, Republic of Italy, Japan, Korea, Republic of Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom.
If you are from Chile, Thailand or Turkey, you may be eligible to apply for a work and holiday visa (subclass 462), which provides similar opportunities for tertiary educated people aged 18 to 30.
